I don’t really often talk with my parents about serious topics that can help me to write this long long 500 words blog… but today I talk with them for this blog haha. I usually talk with them about what smaller things, such as my favorite caster, my school life, and what I want.
We talked about summer school next year. One of my classmates Bella went to the summer school in USA this summer. When we hanged out, she told me about her experiences of her summer. She said it was great and wonderful!! She said that there were three dance parties during the summer school, one in the school, another on the tour boat, and the last one besides a pool. How romantic and sweet that is! There were also a lot of activities. She had English class for about four hours in the morning, and had some elective courses, such as tennis, engineering, and so on sports or classes. In the weekend, they can chose one activity to join it, such as watching movies, going ice-skating in the school, going to a picnic, and going shopping. I think that is pretty cool!!! She lived with a foreigner girl in one room. I heard that there are also some Japanese there!! I was so excited to hear that! These are truly just what I want for my summer!!!!
Another friend of mine named Rika is in Australia now, she went there for homestay with her school. She uploaded some pictures of her life there on facebook. In many of them, Rika smiles happily and many foreigners were around her. My friends from SJS also went to Canada for homestay with school. They all said it was really cool! They went sightseeing with their host family. My friend Katie who is in Xiehe Canadian High School went to Canada for camping in mountain too!!! She uploaded many pictures on Wechat, and those really attracted me. Her homestay life was so great that the host family took her many places. She went to climb a mountain with her class, and saw a baby bear. They cooked and did all the deals by themselves, without parents. All of these experiences are the ones we can’t have in our daily life, and I like that.
I went to Thailand in the first part of this summer, and I just watched The Vampire Diaries and did my homework in the rest of the holidays… This summer holidays are almost passed, but I want to experience homestay or summer school in some English speaking countries next year. I think it will be very helpful to improve my English and to be used to live in those countries. I think if I were put into the environment that only can speak English, my English would be improved much more!
I talked these to my parents today. They looked happy to hear it, and they want me to experience it too. I hope I really have the chance next year because we also have TOEFL or SAT or whatever something busy…
