Oh, Hobbit again… Don’t you guys think we had too much blog questions about The Hobbit? We need more interesting topic to write!! These Hobbit questions are not interesting enough to reach 250 words… Anyway, today’s topic is about why I think Gandalf leaves the group, so let me answer it.
In chapter 7, Gandalf said “I have some other pressing business to attend to.”(Page 125) and “as I told you, some pressing business away south ;”( Page 150) We can know that he left the group because he had something very important to do in south. When we open the last page of the book then look at the map of Middle Earth, we can find “woodmen” in the south of Beorn’s house. So we can guess that maybe Gandalf is going to visit “woodmen”. Maybe he is going to ask about some really important information from this “woodmen”. Or, he said “Before you could get round it in the South, you would get into the land of the Necromancer” (Page 152), so maybe he is going to meet this Necromancer to ask something for help. Anyway, he is probably going to do something connected to this adventure, and of course it must be something good for this adventure.
I hope that Bilbo and the dwarves can do well and have good luck in their journey even without Gandalf. Also, I hope Gandalf can finish his “business in south”, and then come back to his group again, finally help dwarves to get back their treasure.
