About this question, I would say absolutely it’s not similar from my experience in my own life. In this book the story is always related to a story. A legend of hound’s curse. It’s about in the old time, a bad guy who was Baskervilles’ family got mad and killed an innocent girl. Then he or let’s say his later family were cursed by a big black creepy hound. We don’t have such an old story that scares many people in this modern world. Maybe in some of the old villages in Europe, there is still these kinds of legends, but at least I’ve never heard in my life.
Second, I didn’t even saw or heard about detectives. That’s another difference. I know that there are still many detectives in this world, but they don’t work like this. They all work for much easier tasks, so that’s the reason why I think this book isn’t similar to our lives. Let’s say if a murder case really happened in our lives, it won’t take so long and they won’t work so hard to find the truth. Or the truth is not as complicated as the one in this story, but much simple~~
