I haven’t written so many blogs which were given before the vacation… I’m reflecting very much. I think it’s a really bad thing to do the blog homework later, because it will cause you to get behind, and more difficult to do it later. We should write the blogs every day~~ I will be careful to write them every day!!
We found another song of dwarves~! It’s on page 139 and 140. Did you guys find the differences between this song and the one in chapter 1?
Well, in my opinion, the one in chapter 7 is more serious than the one in chapter 1. In chapter 1, they sang about their treasures, how they love beautiful things, and how their treasures have been seized by the dragon.
As we learned in Mr. Manno’s class, the theme of the song in chapter 7 is about wind. It says “The wind was on the withered heath,” “The wind came down from mountains clod,” (Page 139). And also, we learned that the wind is a metaphor of this company. According to the song, “The wind went on from West to East” (Page140) They began this adventure from west to east too. And another thing we can learn from this song is that they were more confident when they sang this song than when they sang the song in chapter 1. The reason I think so is because they sang themselves as wind. If they lost confidence, they won’t sing themselves as wind. They maybe got enough rests, ponies food, relaxed feelings, and confidence at Beorn’s home.
